About HiveEquine

HiveEquine is a directory for horse people. Boarding barns, lesson programs, equine vets, trail rides, trainers, tack shops, therapeutic riding centers. The stuff Yelp gets wrong and Google dumps in a list of unrelated businesses.

The problem we kept running into: finding the right barn is harder than finding the right gym, and the wrong barn can ruin a kid's relationship with horses. Adult beginners get treated like a novelty. Parents get pushed toward showing before their kid knows how to post a trot. Boarders end up moving their horse three times before they find a place that actually cares for it.

So the directory is filtered by what matters: riding style, boarding type, experience level the program is set up for, and where we can get it, real pricing. PATH-certified flag for therapeutic programs. Working-student tag for barns that offer work-for-lessons.

We started with the listings we could verify and filled in voice and structure from people who've cleaned tack, taken lessons, boarded horses, and watched the same questions get asked on Reddit for ten years. We're adding states and categories on a rolling basis. If your barn isn't on here yet, send it in.
